Believed to be the farm in Dalvers where the Köster family lived. The photo may be Maria Catharine Elisabeth (Köster) Stehren (1855-1938), one of her daughters, Anna or Maria or Sophie, Wilhelm Stehren (1840-1914) and Elisabeth's father, Hermann Bernard Köster (1826-1909). The building is a typical farm house of the area and all of the family are wearing wooden shoes or " Klumpen".
