Father Clair Boes of Breda, Iowa,was ordained after four years of theology study at the Canisianum in Innsbruck. He returned to the homeland of his forefathers and to the place where his ancestors were born to celebrate his first Holy Mass at St. Walburga Catholic Church.  Fr. Clair Boes is the great grandson of Maria Anna Nieland and John Gerhard Boes, both born near Ramsdorf. Many distant relatives still live in the area.
