1920 Postcard

To Arno Curt Pappe from his sister in Germany, Amalie Gertrude "Trudel" (Pappe) Ulrich

This photo card belonged to Arno Curt Pappe (1893-1948). This is the only card in Arno's collection where his sister "Trude" identifies herself as his sister. We believe she is Amalie Gertrude (Pappe) Ulrich (1891-?), who was two years older than Arno. The date of the card was estimated based on the age of her daughter, Gretel Ulrich, who was born January 24, 1915. The card was probably sent in an envelope so there is no postmark; however, we know that Gertrude and her family lived in Berlin.
