Albert Wehrenberg was the son of Emilie Fressel Wehrenberg (181-1943) and grandson of Mina Wilhelmine Pappe Fressel (b. 1842 -?). Minna Pappe was the sister of immigrant brothers Richard, Albert L and John Herman Pappe.
BETHANY, Okla. — Albert Wehrenberg, 96, of Bethany died April 2, 2004. He was born Oct. 5, 1908, and grew up near Loyal, Okla., and graduated from high school there in 1925. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. degree in pharmacy, and worked in Oklahoma City, Kingfisher and Seminole, Okla., before purchasing a store in Bethany. He was past president of the Bethany Kiwanis Club, a member of the Oklahoma Pharmaceutical Association and a charter member of the Mortar and Pestle Society and a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. His wife, Elsie Homier Wehrenberg, preceded him in death in 1962.
Survivors include one son, Paul Wehrenberg and wife Molly of Edmond, Okla.; two grandsons, Aaron and Casey; one sister, Sue Mooney of San Jose, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bethany. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Kingfisher Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
