Kingfisher Free Press, Monday, July 1967 Charles Pappe Dies Saturday At Okla. City Charles W. Pappe, 52, of Oklahoma City, a native of Kingfisher, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial hospital at Oklahoma City. Funeral was held this Monday morning at Oklahoma City, followed by a graveside service in the afternoon in the Woodward cemetery. Pappe was born June 16, 1915, in Kingfisher, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Pappe. He attended Kingfisher schools. He had lived in Woodward a number of years before moving to Oklahoma City. Pappe was a veteran of World war II. Survivors include the wife of the home; his parents; a son Keith with the Air Force in Vietnam; a daughter Kay of Woodward; a sister, Mrs. Dale Altizer of Kingfisher, and a brother, Max Pappe of Downey, Calif.
