Michael Allen Pappe 1958 - 2004

Funeral services for Michael Allen “Mike” Pappe of Union City were held Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Union City with Rev. Sonja Tobey of Union City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Union City Cemetery. Services were under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home of El Reno.

Mr. Pappe left this world to live with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 in Reno, Nev., after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 24, 1958, in El Reno to Albert W. and Martha (Dixon) Pappe. He had lived in Union City all his life. He graduated from Union City High School in 1977 where he was a member of the Union City FFA. He went to Canadian Valley Technology Center for two years and became a licensed electrician. He was a farmer and rancher for many years. He was a former member of the Union City Lions Club, member of the Minco AG Boosters, served as president of the Union City Cemetery Board since 1998 and member of the Union City United Methodist Church. He participated in many other community and town activities throughout his life. He married Tracy Thomas in Eureka Springs, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert W. Pappe.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Pappe of Union City; his wife, Tracy, a son Jimmy Pappe and step daughters, Kasey, Brittany and Courtney Vickers, all of the home; an uncle, ‘Raymond Pappe and wife, Shirley of Oklahoma City; and numerous other relatives and friends.
