Funeral Held On Sunday For R. Pappe, Jr.

Funeral for Richard Pappe Jr., 54, was held Sunday afternoon in the Langley chapel, with Rev. Harlan Beckemeyer officiating. Interment was in Kingfisher cemetery, under direction of Langley Funeral service.

Pappe died Thursday in Oklahoma City.

He was born July 29, 1915, in Kingfisher, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pappe Sr. He attended schools in Kingfisher, Oklahoma University at Norman and Oklahoma State University at Stillwater

Pappe lived most of his life in Kingfisher, except for 11 years he served as a mail clerk in California. The family had returned to Oklahoma about two years ago.

Pappe was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Florence, of the home here; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Sedwrick of Tahlequah, Mrs. Sharon Carman of Dover, and Mrs. Juanita Evanoff of Kingfisher; his mother, Mrs. Richard Pappe sr., and a sister, Mrs. Allen E. Greer, both of Oklahoma City, and nine grandchildren.
