Frances E Hoebing (Naberhaus) (Bosold) (1883-1976)

The daughter of Maria Angela Nieland and John H. Hoebing (Maria Angela Nieland, John Henry, John Henry, Joannes Daniel, Joannes Bernardus, Joannes Johann Daniel Nieland, Berndt Nilandt, Earliest Nieland)

Frances E Hoebing was born on 8 March 1883 at Sac County, Iowa. She married George J. Naberhaus on 18 November 1902. She was widowed in 1919. She married Edward S. Bosold on 27 November 1928 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Early, Sac County, Iowa.

She appeared on the Federal census of 1910 at Carroll County, Iowa. "Francis" (27) is enumerated in Kniest Township with her husband G.J. Naberhaus (29) on a farm. They have been married 7 years and have 3 of 4 children living. The children are Ramond (6), Amellie (3) and Anselm (1). G.J. is listed as a German immigrant and Francis and all the children are listed as born in Iowa. The next farm place in the Federal census belongs to her cousin, Mary (Nieland) Steinkamp and her husband, Ferdinand. The one after that belongs to her sister, Emma (Hoebing) Schettler and her husband Bernard.

She appeared on the Federal census of 1920 at Sac County, Iowa. Frances (36) is enumerated on a farm in Cook Township as a widow living with her children Raymond (15), Amelia (13), Anselm (11), Irmeme (8) Cordula (3 10/12) and Mary A. (11/12). They own their farm with no mortgage and all are listed as born in Iowa.

She appeared on the Federal census of 1930 at Sac County, Iowa. Frances (49) is enumerated on a farm in Cook Township with her husband Edward (54), his son Joseph (20), and her children Ray Naberhaus (25), Ancel (21), Amelia (23), Irma (18), Cordula (14) and Mary Ann (11). They own their farm and have a radio. Ray and Ancel list their occupation as general farm labor and Amelia is a stenographer in a store.

Frances died on 28 October 1976 at Early, Sac County, Iowa, at age 93. She is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Early, Sac County, Iowa.

 


George J Naberhaus (1881-1919)

The first husband of Frances Hoebing (1993-1976)

George J. Naberhaus, son of Heinrich August Naberhaus and Angela Wempe, was born on 25 April 1881 at Iowa.

The children of Frances Hoebing and George J. Naberhaus all born at Iowa, were the following:

1) Raymond Morris was born on 10 June 1904 in Carroll County, Iowa. He died on 12 September 1992 at Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa, at age 88. . He was buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Early, Sac County, Iowa.
2) Amelia A. was born on 10 September 1906 in Carroll County, Iowa. She married Alfred Dahm. She died in October 1976 at Early, Sac County, Iowa, at age 70. She was buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Early, Sac County, Iowa.
3) Anselm, born 14 October 1908 in Iowa. He died on 8 May 1959 at age 50.
4) Irmene, born 16 June 1911 in Iowa. She died on 8 May 1993 at Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota at age 81.
5) Cordula
6) Mary Ann, born 16 February 1919 in Iowa. She died on 22 June 1968 at age 49. She was buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Early, Sac County, Iowa.

George died on 11 August 1919 at Roswell, New Mexico at age 38. He suffered from tuberculosis and had gone west for his health. He was buried on 13 August 1919 at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, Breda, Carroll County, Iowa.

 


Edward S Bosold (1878-1957)
Generation 9

The second husband of Frances Hoebing (1993-1976)

Edward S. Bosold, son of Edward Bosold and Margaret Kelly, was born on 27 November 1878. He appeared on the Federal census of 1920 at Adair County, Iowa. Edward S. (41) is enumerated as the hired man for the family. His is a widower who was born in Illinois. His father was born in Ohio and his mother in Pennsylvania. Living with him is his son Joseph D. (10), born in Iowa. There were no children of Frances Hoebing and Edward S. Bosold.

Edward died on 25 February 1957 at age 78. He is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Early Sac County, Iowa.
