Joanna Aleida Nieland was born on 29 April 1781. It is believed that she married Gerhardus Henric Däring. Records from St. Vitus Catholic Church in Südlohn, Westphalia, list the marriage of Adelheidis Nieland, born in Gemen, to Gerhardus Henr. Däring 18 May 1809. Adelheidis is 28 years old and Gerhard is 44 years old. Witnesses to the marriage are Henricus Nieland and Johann H. Funke. The dates and place of birth fit earlier research. Her death date has not yet been found.

Gerhard Henrich Däring was born 30 March 1764 in Südlohn, Westphalia, the son of Joannes Bernard Däring and Elisabetha Mescher.

Children of Johanna Aleida "Alelheidis" Nieland and Gerhard Däring, all baptized at Südlohn, Westphalia, Prussia, were the following:

1) Bernardus Josephus, baptized 27 February 1810. Godparents were Joseph Nieland and Elisabeth Meshers. This child may have died at 8 days of age of "convulsionibus".
2) Maria Elisabetha, baptized 8 April, 1811. Godparents were Johannes Henric Geuking and Maria Gertrud Barkhoff Nieland.
3) Maria Adelheidis, baptized 12 October 1813. Godparents were Johannes Hermanus Arning and Maria Adelheidis Däring Kocks.
4) Bernardus Josephus, baptized 4 February 1815. Godparents were Fredericus Josephus Nieland and Maria Christina Geuking Däring.
5) Bernard Joseph, baptized 8 October 1817. Godparents were Joseph Merker and Anna Margaretha Arning Nieland.
