Ferdinand Steinkamp, son of Heinrich August Steinkamp and Maria Christina Heisterkamp, was born on 25 August 1878 at Ramsdorf, Westphalia, Germany. His obituary lists birth date as 25 August, 1877.

He immigrated to America about 1888.

9) Leonard G., born 7 January 1921. He died on 22 February 1918 at Carroll, Carroll County, Iowa at age 60. He was buried at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, Breda, Carroll County, Iowa.

Ferdinand died on 16 January 1963 at Carroll, Carroll County, Iowa, at age 84. He was buried on 19 January 1963 at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, Breda, Carroll County, Iowa.
