Father Christopher M. Reising

Father Christopher M. Reising is the son of Dean and Carmen (Pudenz) Reising and the 3rd great grandson of Gerhard and Maria Anna (Nieland) Boes. He was born in Iowa and was a member of St. Theresa Parish in Des Moines. He has seven younger brothers. After he completed his university studies, he was ordained by Bishop Joseph Charron at St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines in June of 2006.

Father Reising began his ministry in July of 2006, serving as an associate with the Tri-Parish community of Holy Family, Queen of Apostles and Our Lady of Carter Lake in the Council Bluffs, Iowa vicinity. He then spent time in Mexico, traveling and learning to speak Spanish. In January of 2009 he became the parochial Vicar at Our Lady of the Americas Parish in Des Moines. He is also on the staff of Holy Family School, Des Moines, Iowa.

During his spare time, he likes to read and take pictures. He also enjoys art, woodworking and golf.
