Rosa Anna Koester (1902 - 1937)
Sister Mary Silvana, FSPA

Rosa Anna Koester was the daughter of William and Christine (Wibben) Köster and the niece of Anna (Köster) Nieland. She was born on December 6, 1902 in Willey, Iowa and entered the convent on August 29, 1925. She made her profession of vows on June 17, 1935, taking the religious name of Sister Mary Silvana. Sister Silvana served as a homemaker until her early death from pneumonia on January 28, 1937 in Ashland, Wisconsin.
