Arthur A. Fiebelkorn 1944-1990

Arthur A. Fiebelkorn, 46, of Carroll, died on Saturday, April 28, 1990, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 1 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Officiating was Father Marvin Hood, Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish in Carroll. Internment was in the Carroll Cemetery in Carroll.

Fiebelkorn was born on February 19, 1944, at Gregory, South Dakota, the son of August and Mary (Hansen) Fiebelkorn. He spent his younger years in Gregory and received his education there. In 2965 he moved to Denison.

On February 1, 1969, he was married to Clara O'Tool at St. Joseph Church in Carroll by Father Jerome Cosgrove. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Carroll where Mr. Fiebelkorn was employed by Andrew Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. and by the Carroll Roofing Co. He was a member of the Carroll Loyal Order of the Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Clara, of Carroll; a brother, Richard Fiebelkorn of Sac City; five sisters, Judith Shelly and her husband Earl, of Arkansas, Joan Jackson and her husband, Carol, of Lewis, Dorothy Brewer of Omaha, Nebraska, Alice Conrad and her husband, Vic, of Harlan, and Susan Allan and her husband, Steve, of Sioux City; his mother-in-law, Rosina O'Tool of Carroll, 16 nieces and nephews; and six grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents; and one niece.
