Augusta Ann Rother, 88, of Okarche, died Thursday,
July 26, 1990, in her home, after a lengthy illness.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday,
followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a. m. Monday. Both
services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche
with Rev. Marvin Leven and Rev. Dan Mueggenborg officiating.
Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, under
the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno.
She was born Feb. 10, 1902, at Breda, Iowa, to Henry
and Dora Boes Mueggenborg. She came to Okarche with her family in
1907.
She married Joe Rother May 6, 1924, and they farmed
west of Okarche. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Altar Society.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mary
Agnes) Baustert of Okarche, Mrs. Bob (Bernadette) Stangl of Sparks,
Mrs. Mark (Kathy) Londoll of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Tom (Gertrude)
Kroutil of Sparks; five sons, Lawrence of Union City; Greg and Leo,
both of Okarche, Joe of Rockmart, Ga., and Clarence of Dodge City,
Kan.; one sister, Angeline Meyer of Okarche; four brothers, Leonard
Mueggenborg and Pete Mueggenborg of Kingfisher, Paul Mueggenborg
of Stillwater and Tony Mueggenborg of Yale, 31 grandchildren and
31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nov. 19,
1959, one son, three daughters, twin granddaughters and one great-grandson.
The family suggests memorials be give to the Holy
Trinity Church fund.
