The Carroll Times Herald, December 1976 Mass of the resurrection for Catherine M. Schulte, 88, of Breda was concelebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Bernard church, Breda by the Revs. Dennis L. Sefcik, J. P. Hausmann and Harold Cooper. Also in the sanctuary was the Rev. J. Charles Yetmar. Mrs. Schulte died December 3 at the Carroll Health Center. Mrs. Schulte, daughter of Gerhard and Anna Boes, was born on May 8, 1888 at Breda. She spent her entire life in the Breda community and October, 1911 was married to Leo Schulte at St. Bernard church in Breda. After their marriage they moved to a farm six miles north west of Breda where they remained until their retirement in 1951 when they moved to Breda. She was a member of St. Bernard church and the St. Bernard Guild. Her husband died January 10, 1971 and for the past 15 months she made her home at the Carroll Health Center. Surviving are the following children; Edgar of Breda; Mrs. Henry (Hiliaria) Pick of Breda; Ronald of Westside; Urban of Breda and Herbert of Des Moines; 37 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and four sisters.
