Mrs. Clara Reising Passed Away at Her Home Monday

Mrs. Clara Reising, 82, longtime resident of Breda, died at her home here Monday, July 15, 1963.

Requiem mass will be read at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard's church in Breda, with internment in the parish cemetery. Officiating will be one of her sons, the Very Rev. Msgr. Zeno Reising of Alton.

Friends may call at the Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. The rosary will be recited at 8 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Mrs. Reising was born Sept. 14, 1880, in Sac County, a daughter of Gerhart [sic] and Anna Nieland Boes; and lived at Breda for 55 years.

Her marriage to Max Reising took place Nov. 17, 1903, at Breda. He died in 1952.

She is survived by ten children: Mrs. William (Amelia) Becker, Thayer; Andrew Reising, Wessley; Gregory Reising, Mapleton; Msgr. Reising, Alton; Lawrence Reising, Wall Lake; Conrad and Michael Reising, Breda; Mrs. Wilmer (Rosina) O'Tool, Carroll; Mrs. Jerry (Leona) Eischeid, Guthrie Center; and Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Pudenz, Rose Creek, Minn.; also 77 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Leo (Katie) Schulte, Breda.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Reising was preceded in death by one son, Alvin, in 1945; three sister, Mrs. Ben (Elizabeth) Steinkamp, Mrs. Henry (Dora) Mueggenborg and Mrs. Joe (Ida) Grabner; and four brothers, John, Henry, Theodore and Joe Boes.
