Cleone L. Steinkamp (Evers) 1926-2003 Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, December 31, CEDAR FALLS—Cleone L. Evers was born March 7, 1926, at home in Mount Carmel, [Iowa], the daughter of Frank and Emma (Damm) Steinkamp. She married Rollin Evers on June 17, 1947, in Arcadia. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2002. Cleone died Friday (Dec. 26, 2003) at Sartori Memorial Hospital at the age of 77 years. Survivors include two sons, Mark Evers and his wife, Carol, of Mason City, and Doug Evers and his wife, Jill, of Kokomo, Ind.; a daughter, Renee Evers, of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren, Elissa Anne Evers, Jay Douglas Evers, Jeffrey Paul Evers, Ryan Grover Evers, Nathan William Evers and Kristen Renee Evers; a brother, Melvin (Bernice) Steinkamp, of Arcadia; and three sisters, Leota (Harold) Eich, of Ogden, Jean Wernimont, of Atlantic, and Neva Wittaker, of Orange, Calif.; and a special companion, her dog, Anna Marie. Cleone was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, is in charge of the arrangements.
