Daniel “Joseph” Bosold 1909-1992

MADISON—D. Joseph Bosold, age 82, of 2629 Hoard Street, died in a Madison nursing home after a long Illness on Saturday, March 7, 1992.

He was born July 3, 1909, in Menlo, Iowa, and was a Madison resident since 1947. Mr. Bosold was a yard man for 25 years at the Oscar Mayer Company. He retired in 1972. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He was married to the former Cordula Naberhaus (Maselter) on February 11, 1947.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Mary Maselter of Milwaukee, Patricia (Steve) Ely of Napervllle, Illinois, Barbara (James) Gaffney of Madison; three sons, William (Patricia) Maselter of Sun Prairie, Robert (Dawn) Bosold of Eau Claire, Edward (Margo) Bosold of Madison; a brother, Francis (Mary) Bosold of Madison; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Avenue at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 1992, Father John Hebl will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 Sherman Avenue from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, where a scripture service will be said at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
