Donald Joseph Mueggenborg 1937-2000 Cheyenne Star, June, 2000 Donald J. Mueggenborg, age 62, of Crawford, Oklahoma left this life on Saturday, June 24, 2000 after a courageous battle with cancer. Don was born November 22, 1937 to Alphons and Emma [Huck] Mueggenborg in Okarche, Oklahoma. He held many things dear to his heart--- his God, his family, his friends, and his fishing. Don was a carpenter by trade, as well as a lifelong supporter and member of his church. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for many years, and gave freely of his time. His friends and family will remember him always as a hardworking, cheerful and friendly man who also knew how to enjoy life. He will be missed by many, and never forgotten. He was preceded in death by his bride and partner, Rita [Lucas], in 1993, and by his father Alphons. He is survived by his two sisters, Caroline Chambers and Christine Kuelzer; and eight grandchildren, Sean, Katie, Chris, Brett, Drew, Cole, Matthews, and Laura whom he loved dearly. A Rosary was held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at Smith and Kernke, 14624 N. May, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church which was followed by interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
