Eleanora Steinkamp, 83, of
Carroll died Saturday, Sept.26, 1992, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital
in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian burial will
be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Holy Spirit Church
in Carroll with Father Clair Boes as celebrant. Burial will be at
Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
A daughter of John and Anna (Geier)
Boes, she was born June 1, 1909, in Sac County, Iowa. She attended
St. Bernard School in Breda.
On Jan. 8, 1935, she was married
to Henry G. Steinkamp at St. Bernard Church in Breda by Father E.L.
Schleyer. They farmed seven miles northwest of Breda until 1957
then farmed 3-1/2miles southwest of Carroll until retiring and moving
to Carroll in 1975.
She was a member of St. Rose of
Lima Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Legion of Mary, Holy Spirit
Women's Guild and St. Anthony Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Steinkamp is survived by a
daughter, Verla. A. Venteicher and her husband, Paul, of Carroll;
three sons, Daryl Steinkamp and his wife, Jean, of LeMars, Wayne
Steinkamp and his wife, Pate, of Ankeny and Glenn Steinkamp and
his wife, Connie, of Carroll; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
three step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Boes of
Breda and Romain Boes of Carroll.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Henry, in 1989; her parents; and six brothers, Herbert,
twin brother Aloysius, Father Norbert Boes, Leonard, Julius and
Cletus.
