Council Bluffs Nonpareil October 13, 2003 Emily Lynn Nieland, 5 days old, daughter of Robert and Kara Nieland of Council Bluffs, died Oct. 12 at Creighton University Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 7, 2003, in Omaha to Robert and Kara (Vergamini) Nieland. She was a member of St. Peter's Church. Survivors in addition to her parents are brother, Daniel D. Nieland of Council Bluffs: sister, Amanda A. Nieland of Council Bluffs; grandparents, Robert and Linda Vergamini of Lansing, Mich.; grandmother, Betty Nieland of Ft. Dodge; grandfather, Leroy Nieland of Fonda; great-grandparents, Leo and Rodella Vergamini of Council Bluffs and Les and Sandy Oatman of Storm Lake; Great Grandmothers, Helen McNichols of Blair, Neb., and Marie Nieland of Storm Lake; aunt and uncle, Lisa and Jerry Nieland, and uncle Kent Vergamini. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Chuck Kottas officiating. Family and friends are to meet at the church for the service. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
