Gregory William Reising 1907-1981

MAPLETON - Gregory Reising, 73, of Mapleton, formerly
of Breda, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, at an Onawa, Iowa, hospital after
a long illness.
The funeral mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church
in Mapleton, Friday, Jan. 23 [sic], with the Rev. Walter Bruch officiating.
Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Tony Jacoby,
Sylvester Schleimer, Bill Becker, Richard O'Tool, Vincent Gross
and Richard Janning.
Survivors include is wife Agnes; six sons: Elmer,
Springfield, Ore.; Kenneth, Junction City, Ore.; Eugene, Carson,
Calif.; Leonard, Onawa, and Ray and Melvin, Mapleton; 11 grandchildren;
a brother Michael, Breda; three sisters: Mrs. Rosina O'Tool, Carroll;
Mrs. Jerry (Leona) Eischeid, Bayard, and Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Pudenz,
Rose Creek, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter,
Mildred, three infant sons; five brothers and a sister.
Mr. Reising was born Feb. 28, 1907, at Breda, a son
of Max and Clara Boes Reising. He was married Dec. 29, 1931, at
Agnes Janning at Mt. Carmel. He was a farmer and later a construction
worker.
