Wednesday Funeral To Be Held For Joe Mueggenborg

Joseph G. Mueggenborg, 68 of 315 South Sixth Street, died Sunday in Community hospital.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, with the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Kingfisher cemetery, under the direction of Langley Funeral Service. Father Charles Beckman will officiate.

Mueggenborg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton [sic] Mueggenborg, was born February 9, 1903, at Breda, Iowa. He was a retired farmer and had been in failing health for two years.

He married Teresa Ann Schaefer in Holy Trinity Catholic church at Okarche on August 10, 1926.

Mueggenborg was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, the Order of Foresters, the Knights of Columbus and was Knighted by Blessed Pius XII, and was a charter member of NuVoice.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa, of the home; three sons, Vernon and James of Kingfisher and Henry of Wichita, Kan.; six daughters. Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Taylor of Oswego, Kan., Mrs. E. J. (Marilyn) Stangl of Okarche, Mrs. Richard (Peggy) Feuerborn, of Edmond, Mrs. Norman (Jane) Smola of Hugo, Mrs. Richard (Martha) James of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Mike (Patricia) Crone of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Rother and Mrs. Leon (Angeline) Meyer of Okarche, six brothers, Alphons, Vince and Leonard of Okarche, Pete of Kingfisher, Paul of Stillwater and Tony of Yale; 44 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family has requested that those who wish make contributions to the Community Hospital Building Fund.
