Quad-City Times, January 27, 2006 Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Judith A. "Judy" Eischeid, 64, of Bettendorf, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The family invites you to join them for a Christian Wake Service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Judy died Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at her residence. Memorials can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes School or to Genesis Hospice. Judith Ann Brus was born March 1, 1941, in Davenport, a daughter of Richard J. and Evelyn Helen (Fisher) Brus. She was united in marriage to Richard Joseph Eischeid on April 26, 1969, in Bettendorf at Our Lady of Lourdes. She graduated from the former Villa de Chantel, Rock Island. She retired in 1997 after 29 years of service as a telephone operator for AT&T. Judy had been an active member of the church and had been a member of the choir. She had been a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Association, and had lived with diabetes for many years. While employed by AT&T she had been a Union Steward for the Communication Workers of America. Survivors include her husband, Dick, Bettendorf; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Tom Quinn, Davenport; her two loving grandchildren, Ryan and Kaitlyn "Katie" Quinn; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sally Brus, Birmingham, Ala., and Robert and Ann Brus, Bolingbrook, Ill.; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Her parents and a sister, Marcia McIntosh, preceded her in death. May they rest in peace.
