Lorine Catherine Dunham, 89, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Georgetown, died Friday, April 30, 2004, at her home.

She was born March 24, 1915, in Okarche, Okla., a daughter of Leonard L. and Clara Helen Wiewel Hoebing. On October 12, 1940, in Culver City, Calif., she was married to William Delmage Dunham, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Dunham was raised and educated in Okarche, Okla. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella. She also served on the directors committee of Open Door Ministries, the board of directors for the Pettis County Heart Association, as a council member of the University of Missouri, and the Pettis County Extension. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker and took pride in her vegetable and flower gardens.

Survivors also include two daughters, Mary Jane Briggs, of Liberty, and Arlene Ann Hansen, of Kansas City; four sons, Ronald Joseph Dunham, of Kansas City, Kan., William John Dunham, of Pleasant Hill, Darrell Thomas Dunham, of Seattle, Wash., and Mark Charles Dunham, of Kansas City; one sister, Beatrice Chapman, of Oklahoma; three brothers, Roger Hoebing, of Minnesota, Paul Hoebing, of Oklahoma, and John Hoebing, of Nebraska; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Cyril Hoebing, Oscar Hoebing and Leon Hoebing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Vincent Hoying officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Wilson, Dan Wilson, Doug Wilson, Chris Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Scott Wilson, Alan Dunham and Josh Dunham.

The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, followed by the visitation until 10:30 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
