Funeral
services for Mrs. Ferdinand Steinkamp, 80, of Breda, will be at
9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Bernard's Church, Breda. Requiem mass will
be offered by the Rev. J.P. Hausman. Burial will be in St. Bernard's
Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Twit
Funeral Home here, where the rosary will be recited by the Christian
Mothers Sodality of St. Bernard's Church at 8 p.m. Saturday and
will be lead by Fr. Hausman at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Steinkamp, who had been a semi-invalid for 30
years, had been seriously ill the past week. She died at 7:45 a.m.
Friday at St. Anthony Hospital, where she had been admitted Oct.
11.
Born Nov. 1, 1877, at Breda, Mrs. Steinkamp was a
lifelong resident there. The former Mary Nieland was a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nieland. She attended school at Breda.
Her marriage took place Feb. 7, 1899, at St. Bernard's
Church, with the Rev. J. Anler officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Steinkamp
have lived in their present home at Breda the last 11 years.
Mrs. Steinkamp is survived by her husband, seven children:
Anton H. Steinkamp, Arcadia, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Kohorst, Arcadia; Mrs.
Andrew (Elizabeth) Thobe, Carroll; Fred Steinkamp, Laurens; Mr.
Henry (Theresa0 Kramer, Glidden; Mrs. Hilbert (Agnes) Eischeid,
Manning; and Leonard Steinkamp, Breda.
She also leaves 29 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,
and the following brothers and sisters: Frank, Louis, Herman and
Ben Nieland, Breda; William and Joe Nieland, Carroll; Mrs. Jacob
Wittry, Breda; Sr. M. Sigmunda, Washington State and Mrs. Margaret
Mueggenborg, Okarche, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons,
Joe and Walter, one brother, Henry Nieland, and three sisters, Mrs.
Rose Wittrock, Okarche, Okla., Mrs. Art (Bertha) Braun and Sr. M.
Florina.
Mrs. Steinkamp was a member of St. Bernard's Church
and the Christian Mothers sodality of the parish.
