Mary Dorothy "Dora" Boes (Mueggenborg) 1878-1950
Mr. and Mrs. Max Reising left early Tuesday morning for Okarche, Okla., being called there by the serious illness and subsequent death of Mrs. Reising's sister, Mrs. Dora Mueggenborg, who suffered a stroke. She passed away the same day. Mrs. Mueggenborg was 72 years old and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerd Boes, born on a farm near Breda October 8, 1878. She was married February 5, 1901, To Henry Mueggenborg, at St. Bernard's Church in Breda. Mrs. Mueggenborg is survived by nine children. They are: Gustie, Mrs. Joe Rother; Joe, Alphonse, Leonard Mueggenborg; Angeline, Mrs. Leon Meyer; Vincent, Peter and Paul (twins) and Tony Mueggenborg. 39 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Her husband passed away in 1939. Besides Mrs. Reising, she has another sister, Mrs. Leo Schulte (Katie); two brothers, John and Joe Boes of Breda. A sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Steinkamp, and a brother, Ted Boes passed away within the past year. Another sister, Mrs. Joe Grabner (Ida), died in December, 1945. Funeral services were held at Okarche, Okla., Friday morning. Relatives from Breda who attended the rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Max Reising, Mrs. Leo Schulte and sons Edgar and Urban, Mrs. Henry Pick, Mrs. Gerd Mueggenborg, Mrs. Leo Nieland, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schaefer, all of Breda; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mueggenborg and son Merlin and Mrs. John Mueggenborg of Sac City.
