Mrs. Joseph Grabner, 64, of this place, died about 9:30 Sunday morning at the St. Anthony hospital in Carroll, where she had been a patient for a week. She had been in ill health a number of years.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 this morning at St. Bernard's church in Breda. Burial took place in the parish cemetery.

Rev. E. L. Schleyer celebrated the requiem high mass, the Rev. Norbert Boes, a nephew, conducted the graveside services.

Pallbearers were: Henry Olberding, Leo Wente, F. B Ulveling, R. J. Klaus, John Rosener and F. A Rutten.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Olerich Funeral Home, of Carroll.

Mrs. Grabner was born Ida Mary Boes, daughter of Gerhard and Anna Boes, September 8, 1882, in Viola Township, Sac county, Iowa. Her parents are deceased.

Her marriage to Mr. Grabner took place May 19, 1919. The couple lived on a farm five miles west and one mile south of Breda from the time of their marriage until 1940, when they built a new home in Breda. They have lived in this residence since then.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Grabner leaves three daughters, Mrs. Matt Stork, (Mary Ann), of Breda, Mrs. Julius Boes (Myrtle), Breda and Mrs. Ed. Hobart (Irene), Lake City; one son, Joe Grabner, Jr. of Breda; 13 grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Ben Steinkamp, Breda; Mrs. Henry Mueggenborg, Okarche, Okla.; Theodore Boes, John Boes, Mrs. Max Reising and Joe Boes, Breda and Mrs. Leo Schulte, Wall Lake.

A brother, Henry, died at the age of 15 from injuries received when kicked by a horse.

Mrs. Grabner was a member of St. Bernard's church and the Christian Mothers sodality of the parish.
