Nina J. Booth (Boes) 1917-2005
Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breda with the Rev. James McAlpin presiding. Lector will be Diane Boes. Gift bearers will be Rhianna Boes, Jennifer Boes, Abby Brincks and Sam Brincks. Servers will be Colby Baumhover, Danielle Pille and Mackenzie Pille. Eucharistic ministers will be Diane Boes and Carol Boes. Casket bearers will be Mrs. Boes' grandsons: Lon Brincks, Robbie Boes, Eric Boes, Ryan Boes, Chad Underberg, Sean Boes, Nathan Boes and Jason Ruoff. Honorary casket bearers will be grandchildren. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery at Breda. Visitation started at 2:30 and the St. Bernard Ladies Guild led a rosary at 3 this afternoon at Sharp Funeral Home in Breda. St. Bernard Parish will hold a Christian wake service at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home. A daughter of John and Annina (Hargens) Booth, she was born May 19, 1917, at Arcadia, spent her younger years there, attended rural school and graduated from Arcadia High School. She and Leonard Boes were married April 30, 1940, at St. Bernard Church. The couple farmed northwest of Breda. Mrs. Boes moved to Breda in 1966 following the death of her husband. She raised her family, was a homemaker and performed domestic work for families. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Ladies Guild. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, traveling and fishing and was an accomplished artist. Survivors include eight children: Lynne Brincks and her husband, Larry, of Chandler, Ariz., John Boes and his wife, Carol, of Carroll, Diane Ruoff and her husband, Bill, of Fort Worth, Texas, Kathy Underberg and her husband, Ted, of Breda, Rhonda Boes of Fort Worth, Texas, Kevin Boes and his wife, Diane, of Carroll, Bryan Boes and his wife, DeLynn, of Arlington, Texas, and Keith Boes and his wife, Kelley, of Carroll; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Boes, of Carroll; and sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Rose Kent of Boone, Laura Boes of Breda, Romaine and Ceal Boes of Carroll and Elinor Boes of Carroll. Mrs. Boes was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, Leonard, in March 1964; a son, Thomas Boes, in 2005;
a grandson, Bret Boes; a daughter-in-law, Karen Boes; four brothers:
Daniel, Russell, Leonard and Harold Booth; and two sisters: Evelyn
Lawler and Ethel Booth (in infancy).
