Raymond Morris Naberhaus 1904-1992

Raymond Morris Naberhaus, 88, of Early, died Saturday,
Sept. 12, 1992, at Marian health Center in Sioux City.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept
156, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Early with Father Thomas
Nash officiating.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Richard Naberhaus, Ronald Knapp,
Ed Bosold, William Maselter, Kevin Raveling and Arlyn Schug.
Mr. Naberhaus was born June 10, 1904, in Carroll County,
a son of George and Frances (Hoebing) Naberhaus.
At age 14, he left school after his father's death
to help on the family farm.
On Jan. 8, 1952, he was married to Louise Schmitz
at Odebolt. They lived on the Frances Bosold farm three miles south
of Early.
Mr. Naberhaus farmed until 1966. In August of 1967,
he purchased the Early Laundromat, and retired in 1979.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and
a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Storm Lake.
His hobbies included reading, playing cards and gardening.
He is survived by two sisters, Irmene (Mrs. Charles)
Doughty and Cordula Bosold; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife,
Louise; one brother, Anselm Naberhaus; and two sisters, Amelia Dahm
and Mary Ann Knapp
