              Funeral Home Richard H. Peterson, age 66, of Scranton, Iowa, passed 
              away at his home on February 16, 2003. A son of Harry and Mary Theresa 
              (Fagan) Peterson, he was born on January 6, 1937 at Carroll, Iowa. 
              After completing his education in Scranton he began farming with 
              his father. After serving in the Army, he returned home and met 
              Del Rae Vonnahme. They were married on February 4, 1961 at St. Bernard 
              Catholic Church in Breda, Iowa. The couple lived on the home place 
              south of Scranton for 30 years. They moved to Scranton in 1990, 
              and lived in their present home until his death. Mr. Peterson still farmed after moving to town and 
              continued to help his son after retirement. He was a member of St. 
              Paul's Catholic Church in Scranton. He enjoyed reading, growing 
              plants, cooking, working on his home, and especially spending time 
              with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Del Rae of Scranton; a 
              son, Craig Peterson and his wife Lois of Scranton; two daughters; 
              Michele (Liechti) Peterson of Hopkins, Missouri; and Stephanie Peterson 
              still at home; five grandchildren: Amber, Aaron, Kyle, Travis, and 
              Garrett; three brothers-in-law; Raymond Yuhasz of Arlington, Texas; 
              Marvin Vonnahme and his wife Judy of Campbellsburg, Indiana; and 
              Lee Vonnahme and his wife LaVonne of Westside, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 
              sister, Harriet Marie, an aunt, Katharine Fagan, and a sister-in-law, 
              Colleen Yuhasz.
