Sharon B. Morris (Nieland) 1941-2000 The Carroll Times Herald Sharon B. Nieland, 59, of Carroll died at her home on Wednesday, Dec 27, 2000, following a sudden illness. Funeral arrangements are pending at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden. A daughter of Carroll and Beulah (Howrey) Morris, she was born on July 22, 1941, at Jolley. She attended school in California, Churdan and Carroll. She and Virgil Nieland were married on June 28, 1958, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll. Most of Mrs. Nieland's life was spent in the Glidden and Ralston area. She worked in the housekeeping departments of both Carroll Manor and St. Anthony Regional Hospital. Mrs. Nieland was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Scranton. Survivors include her husband, Virgil of Scranton; three sons and their wives, Ronald and Mary Nieland of Willey, Roger and Peggy Nieland of St. Paul, Minn., and Richard and Carla Nieland of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Renee Willey and her husband, Bill, of Glidden; five step-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Morris and his wife, Marty, of Azle, Texas; two sisters, Patty Smykowski and her husband, Ted, of Chicago, Ill., and Mary Brown of Carroll. Mrs. Nieland was preceded in death by her parents.
