Timothy Delmar Reis 1957 - 1990

ODEBOLT—Mass of the Christian burial for Timothy Delmar Reis, a Carroll native, was celebrated this morning, Jan. 9, at St. Martin's Catholic Church here. Mr. Reis, 32, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1990, in an accidental fall from a horse at a horse race track in Hot Springs. Ark.

Burial was at St. Martin's Cemetery in Odebolt. The Rev. Richard Birdsall was celebrant at the Mass. Casket bearers were Steve Loger, Travis Reis, Jeff Reis, Ken Hurley, Bob Fineran and Clayton Larson. Farber and Otteman Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Born May 6, 1957, in Carroll, Mr. Reis was a son of Delmar and Arlene Reis. He was baptized at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High School in 1975.

On Nov. 30, 1983, he was married to Terry Padron at Hot Springs. The couple had two children, Cassie Lee and Coty Ann.

Mr. Reis, a horse trainer, was a member of the Thoroughbred Horseman's Association.

Mr. Reis is survived by his wife and children; parents, who live in Odebolt; and five brothers and one sister and their spouses, Mike and Lucy Reis of Fullerton, Neb., Pat and Becky Reis of Odebolt, Tom and Theresa Reis of Ames, Ted and Diane Reis of Omaha, Neb., Mark and Tandy Reis of Odebolt and Deanna Kelly of Storm Lake.
