WALTER STEINKAMP, 32, PASSED AWAY THURSDAY EVENING
Funeral Services Were Held At St. Bernard's Church
Monday Morning
Walter Steinkamp, 32-year-old Breda farmer, was found
dead on the farm one mile north of Breda about 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services were at St. Bernard's church here
at 9:00 o'clock Monday morning. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Raymond and Joseph Schettler, Fred
Thelen, Leonard Schumacher, Leo Snyder and Wilmer Schelle.
Many relatives and friends from Breda, Arcadia, Carroll,
Auburn and Laurens attended the rites.
Mr. Steinkamp, son of Ferdinand and Mary Steinkamp
of Breda, was born July 15, 1917, at Breda. He was educated in St.
Bernard's school.
He was married to Rose Kastle October 1, 1940, at
St. Bernard's church, with the Rev. Fr. E.L. Schleyer officiating.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Cletus,
Kenneth and Lois; his parents, and the following brothers and sisters;
Tony Steinkamp, Arcadia; Mrs. Joe Kohorst (Mary), Arcadia, Mrs.
Andrew Thobe (Elizabeth), Mt. Carmel; Fred Steinkamp, Laurens; Mrs.
Henry Kramer (Theresa), Breda; Mrs. Hilbert Eischeid (Agnes), Manning,
and Leonard Steinkamp, Breda.
A brother, Joe, preceded him in death.
Mr. Steinkamp was a member of St. Bernard's church.
