Carl Arthur Pappe moves to Albuquerque
Carl Arthur Pappe (1883-1931) was the son of Karl Pappe and nephew of the three immigrant brothers Richard Pappe Sr., Albert L. Pappe and John H. Pappe. He immigrated to America in 1900 and settled in Nebraska. Later he moved to New Mexico and opened a bakery.
Carl was known by many names throughout his life: Carl Arthur, Carl, Charlie, C.A., and Arthur.

FIFTY YEARS AGO
[Carl] Arthur Pappe, an experienced baker and bakery manager, has come in Albuquerque from Hastings, Neb., to take the position of the big bakery department of the Jaffa Grocery Co.
