Pappe's Bakery in Albuquerque

Carl Arthur Pappe was born in Leipzig in 1883. He was the son of Master Baker Karl Friedrich Ludwig (aka Carl) Pappe (b. 1856) and nephew of immigrants Richard, John Hermann and Albert Ludwig Pappe. In 1910 Carl Arthur Pappe accompanied his uncle Albert Ludwig Pappe when he returned from a visit to Germany. Carl lived in Nebraska for a few years, then opended a bakery in Albuquerque, NM. He often ran ads for his breads and pastries in the local newspapers.
