Karl R. Pappe Rites Scheduled Friday

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Union City Methodist church for Karl R. Pappe, Union City pioneer, who died Wednesday in an El Reno hospital following a long illness. His death followed that of his wife by just two weeks.

Mr. Pappe was born May 7, 1887 in Nebraska, and came to this county about 50 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Durvard of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Hurst, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Katherine Hild, Washington, Neb; one brother George of Qunicy, Wash., a half brother, Richard Pappe, Union City; eight nephews and five nieces.

Officiating will be Rev. Bud McDaniels of the Minco Methodist church and interment will be in the Union City cemetery under supervision of the Wilson funeral home.
