REEDS, SPRINGDr. William R. "Bill" Jersak, 69, - Reed Spring, died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, July 29, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after a seven-month bout with cancer.

A native of Kingfisher, Okla., he graduated from the University of Oklahoma and the UMKC School of Dentistry. He served as a Captain in the Army Dental Corps. Upon his discharge, he opened his dental practice in Springfield in 1946 and continued practicing through December of 1987. He was a 35-year member of the Springfield Dental Society and was a lifetime member of the American Dental Association. Prior to moving to his home on Table Rock Lake in 1976, he was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Paul, in Dec., 1986. In addition to his wife of 40 years, Nell, he is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Louise and Larry Grisham, Phoenix Ariz., and Nancy and Ken Henderson, Kimberling City, his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Wanda Jersak, Nixa, and Paul's widow, Gay Jersak of Webster, Texas; six grandchildren, Margo, Krista, and Christopher Grisham, Sara and Jill Henderson, and Gina Jersak; a sister, Dr. Louise Galloway, Brunswick, Ga.; a brother, Dr. Robert C., Jersak and his wife Betty, Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Klingner Chapel in Springfield. The body has been cremated.

Following the services vices, the family will gather for visitation at, the home of Richard Jersak, west on Highway 14 off of 160 to, Espy School Rd., in Nixa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 30 James River Rd., Kimberling City, Mo., 65686, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
