Richard Pappe's Saloon in Kingfisher, OK - about 1904
Richard Pappe Sr. purchase a building on North Main Street which was two doors south of where the Kingfisher Times is situated today. (The legal descripion was: West 80 feet fo Lot 22 Block 7.) In July 1899 he applied for a liquor license and subsequently opened a saloon there.
Richard is shown behind the bar. The bartender in the white shirt appears to be Richard's son, Albert Pappe. The older man at the bar is possibly Richard's friend, Gust Bollenbach. In 1905 Richard was 44 and Albert was 21.
