Kornrumpf was born in Martinfeld in the Eichfeld region of Germany
in 1611. In the year 1639, during the Thirty Years War, he moved
to the village of Gross Lengden, which is near Göttingen
in the Lower Saxony region of Germany (formerly Hanover). Several
of his descendants immigrated to America in the 1860s and 1880s
and settled in New York, Michigan, Ohio, and Oklahoma. |

York, then finally settled in Greensboro,
